Programs and initiatives are designed to highlight the accomplishments of Historically Black Colleges and Universities through their graduates and students.

Positive Image Program

The Positive Image Program enlightens elementary, middle, and high school students on HBCUs as an option for higher learning. Participating Competition Queens and Kings visit Atlanta-area schools to encourage leadership, self-esteem, and involvement in school organizations.

Call to Womanhood Symposium

A private session for young women and Queen’s Competition participants to share experiences and plan steps through adversity, with guidance from leaders such as Judge Glenda Hatchett.

Call to Manhood Symposium

A counterpart session for young men and HBCU Kings, with moderators such as Hank Stewart.

The Legacy Lecture Series

Launched in 2007, the series exposes college students to HBCU graduates and civic leaders. Lectures focus on professional character, ethical standards, entrepreneurship, and leadership.
