ORNA-CHARECE JONES
Miss National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame 2007-2008 Miss Tennessee State University 2007-2008
From the city of Southfield, Michigan, she is the second of three children to Brian and Alice Jones and the only girl, born December 12, 1986. Patience and persistence are the key elements of her personality which help to create a multi-tasking and academically efficient machine known as, Orna-Charece Jones.
Majoring in Foreign Language with a concentration in Spanish and maintaining a 3.9 grade point average, she takes advantage of any opportunity to learn; relating or not relating to her future career goals of becoming an educator and a translator. She believes it is important to be well-versed in several areas of expertise in order to obtain experience and possibly open doors to other fields of interest.
Throughout her matriculation at Tennessee State University she has been actively involved in several areas including: the University Choir, the Michigan Club, Phi Eta Sigma Freshman Honor Society, a participant in the International Student Exchange program for the fall 2006 semester and a regular participant in campus theatrical productions.
She is also a member of Golden Key International Honor Society, Phi Kappa Phi International Honor Society, the University Honors Program, The Thomas Edward Poag Players’ Guild and the Alpha Chi Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
